Federal Accountability, ESEA, EASI, Program Effectiveness, Program Implementation, Program Monitoring
Our team administers programs and distributes funds under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), recently reauthorized as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). We also oversee Title I School Improvement through Empowering Action for School Improvement (EASI) grants, as well as other federal formula and competitive grants and awards.
Field Services and Supports, District Improvement Strategy Office - The Field Services Team provide universal support for all 178 Colorado school districts to build leadership capacity in order to ensure that all students and families have access to high-quality schools. Our team of experienced educators provides general performance support and brokers intensive and targeted services to support schools and districts in providing a high-quality education that meets all students’ needs
This unit integrates four offices, Transformation Strategy, Continuous Improvement, Charter Schools, and Online/Blended Learning, into a unified approach that supports all school contexts.
School & District Transformation
The School and District Transformation Unit operates within the Colorado Department of Education to support districts and schools, to be able to demonstrate continual improvement in student achievement.
