Tentative 2027 Colorado State Assessment Windows
A typical state assessment administration season is scheduled for spring 2027 as required by state and federal law. The testing calendar is developed keeping in mind that some schools are on four-day week calendars, some schools may experience a weather closure, and some students may miss a couple of days due to religious observance. While it is not feasible to develop a testing schedule that completely avoids all work-restricted religious holidays every year, they are taken into consideration in determining the calendar.
WIDA ACCESS
-
January 11 through February 12, 2027
Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS)*
-
April 5 through April 23, 2027
CO PSAT/SAT
-
April 12 through April 23, 2027
Notes for all programs:
-
To the extent possible, students taking the alternate assessment in a content area for which they are participating in a general education class should be assessed at the same time as their general education peers to avoid missed instruction (align alternate assessment schedules to ACCESS, CMAS, and PSAT/SAT schedules). Schools may also ensure that students taking the alternate assessment do not miss instruction from their general education class(es) through other means.
-
Students requiring accommodations (including CSLA) should test at the same time as their peers.
