Postsecondary and Workforce Readiness Sustain Fund Audit
Coming Spring 2026!
Pursuant to SB25-315, beginning with the 2025-2026 school year, Local Education Providers will participate in a new yearly periodic data collection, known as the PWR Collection. During the following fiscal year, PWR Sustain Funding will be distributed based on the reported data. In addition, the data will be incorporated into district accountability frameworks in future years.
More information regarding the audit process for this new data collection is coming soon. Audits are expected to begin during summer and fall of 2026, after the first PWR Collection closes.
Important: Work-Based Learning Courses vs. Work-Based Learning Experiences
The PWR bill (SB25-315), and the Sustain Funding associated with it, are separate from and unrelated to the School Finance bill and the per-pupil funding (PPR Funding) based on the Student October Count data collection.
The Student October Count data collection includes reporting for alternative instruction “Work-Based Learning Courses,” which are defined differently than “Work-Based Learning Experiences” reported in the PWR Collection. Despite similar names and occasional overlap, the two have different requirements, are reported separately, and are used for different purposes.
