EDAC (Education Data Advisory Committee) 22-2-304 C.R.S.
The Education Data Advisory Committee (EDAC) was established to evaluate and help reduce the data reporting burden on Colorado's K-12 public education system. Each year, the committee reviews all data collections requested from Local Education Agencies (LEAs) by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE), as well as by other state and federal agencies, to ensure that reporting requirements are necessary and aligned with educational needs.
Collection Submission Timeline
Submit items for EDAC review through the review request form at least ten (10) days before the scheduled meeting (see the meeting calendar for specific submission deadlines). This advance notice allows staff sufficient time to review submissions, develop the meeting agenda, and distribute materials to committee members.
After materials are distributed, committee members may seek input from relevant subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure informed discussion and feedback.
In accordance with EDAC bylaws, the committee may, at its discretion, decline to review materials that are submitted fewer than ten (10) days before the meeting.
