New Dropout and Graduation Statistics

Colorado graduation rate reaches highest level in more than a decade; dropout rate at all-time low

Overview

The Dropout Prevention and Student Re-engagement office produces annual reports and data reports. These reports provide information to the legislature, governor and the public on progress of initiatives run in the office, data trends related to dropout prevention and engagement.

  • Legislative reports: Annual reports are produced that summarize the state’s progress in improving graduation, dropout, attendance, and behavior rates and includes information on the Student Re-engagement Grant, The Ninth Grade Success Grant, The Expelled and At-Risk Student Services Grant (EARSS) and the Educational Stability Grant.

The Dropout Prevention office works closely with CDE’s Postsecondary workforce readiness and Data Services office to support data collections and reporting on key data measures related to student engagement and success.

  • End of year dropout collection: Information on the annual end of year data collection. Analysis of this data includes dropout, mobility, graduation, and completion rates.
  • Dropout data: Annual release of school, district, and state level trends and dashboard that can be filtered.
  • School and District Dashboard: Dashboard that includes dropout and other performance data that can be viewed at the school and district level.
