Justice Engaged Youth Hotline

As part of this legislation, CDE has hired a vendor to establish and maintain a statewide hotline for justice-engaged students, families, and caregivers, Justice System personnel, and education personnel. The contractor shall provide a free service for outreach. The hotline staff will connect individuals to information or resources on a number of topics including but not limited to enrollment, attendance, credit transfer, and wrap-around services that support students continuing education.  In addition, the contractor will track the type of information requested and needed. 

Key Dates

July 2026 – October 2026: Start-up Period: The Contractor shall design, develop, and implement the call center and hire/ subcontract with staff for the call center.

November 2026 or Earlier: Operational period: The Contractor’s call center shall be operational and live.

March 2027: Interim Report

June 2027: Final Hotline Report
