Training Options
Promising practices of flexibilities, efficiencies, and differentiation for training educators on the district evaluation system
Did You Know?
Districts can have differentiated training protocol for their educators based on the needs of their local evaluation system.
Ideas for Training Educators
Example of differentiated training
One school district has an annual application process for teachers to take on a leadership role regarding evaluation for their building and receive a small stipend. Each building trains two selected lead teachers regarding evaluation processes at a much deeper level. This allows staff to ask evaluation-related questions to the lead teachers, in addition to the building leader, to clarify any misconceptions they may have. This also frees up the principal to spend more time in classrooms, providing instructional feedback to their staff rather than answering procedural questions regarding the evaluation system.
