Approved English Learner Professional Development Programs
The professional development providers listed below have been approved by CDE to offer programs that satisfy the English learner professional development requirements for professionally licensed teachers endorsed in elementary, English language arts, math, science and social studies. Educators who complete one of the approved programs will receive a single certificate of completion that they can submit to CDE to receive the English Learner Professional Development designation on their certificate.
The following list is divided into two categories - programs available to educators across the state and district programs limited to district employees - and is updated as programs are approved. Click the name of each program to be taken to their website or email address for more information.
Each program comprises 45 contact hours of coursework that address all requisite EL standards and elements. (Already completed some of your required PD? Learn how to supplement that PD to fulfill the requirement.)
