Technical Assistance Center (TAC)

We are housed in the Office of Facility Schools at the Colorado Department of Education (CDE). Established through Senate Bill 23-219, we aim to provide technical assistance to rural or remote schools, districts, and administrative units who serve students with exceptionally severe or specialized needs. Students with exceptionally severe or specialized needs include those who might otherwise attend a day treatment facility for a period of time, have a disability, and/or experience behavior/mental health challenges.

TAC HUB: Coaching Support for Rural Schools

What is the TAC HUB?

The TAC HUB is a centralized support network that connects rural schools and districts with expert coaching, training, and resources. It helps educators and school leaders access the right guidance, tools, and strategies to enhance student supports and strengthen overall school capacity. When standard training and resources have been exhausted, the HUB provides hands-on, targeted support tailored to the unique needs of each classroom.
