Civil Rights

All Child Nutrition program sponsors must follow civil rights rules to make sure everyone who is eligible can access program benefits fairly. Civil rights are the personal freedoms guaranteed to all U.S. citizens under the Constitution and federal law.

All staff involved in child nutrition programs are required to complete civil rights training each year.
