SCCGP Advisory Board

Advisory Board Positions Open

The School Counselor Corps Grant Program (SCCGP) is seeking dedicated professionals to serve on the SCCGP Advisory Board. Members play a critical role in reviewing grant applications and providing funding recommendations to support the growth and impact of school counseling programs across Colorado.

The application will be open from July 1 to September 1, 2026

Review and Submit an application for the SCCGP Advisory Board

  • Interested individuals should review the SCCGP Advisory Board Operating Procedures and the SCCGP Advisory Board website for details on roles, responsibilities, and time commitment.
  • Applications must submit a why statement, resume, and letter of recommendation from current employer by September 1, 2026.
  • Per C.R.S. 22-91-104.5, eligible applicants represent a variety of stakeholder groups, including but not limited to, members who represent:
    • The Department of Education;
    • The Department of Higher Education;
    • The Department of Labor and Employment;
    • Community Colleges;
    • School Districts; or
    • Those with expertise in:
      • Elementary, Middle, and High School Counseling;
      • Student Retention;
      • Counselor Education;
      • Career and Technical Education;
      • Student Support Services;
      • Career Planning;
      • Pre-Collegiate Services and College Admissions; and
      • Mental Health and Suicide Prevention.

Vision: 

Each School Counselor Corps Grant Program (SCCGP) applicant will receive an equitable application review and funding recommendation that promotes sustainable comprehensive school counseling in Colorado.

Mission: 

The School Counselor Corps Grant Program (SCCGP) Advisory Board will annually support the implementation of sustainable comprehensive school counseling programs by:

  • Receiving SCCGP training;
  • Reviewing SCCGP applications;
  • Making SCCGP funding recommendations; and
  • Providing feedback on the SCCGP review process.
 

SCCGP Advisory Board Members

Each member of the Board shall serve for a term of three years with the possibility of extending to a second term of three years.
