Overview
Postsecondary Credit Attainment (commonly referred to by PWR as College Credit or CC) provides high school students the opportunity to earn college credit before graduation.
Students can earn college credit by:
- Successfully completing a Guaranteed Transfer (GT) pathway course
- Successfully completing a Concurrent Enrollment class including postsecondary career and technical education (CTE) courses
- Earning a qualifying score on an Advanced Placement (AP) exam
- Earning a qualifying score in an International Baccalaureate (IB) course
Earning college credit in high school can help students save time and money in college. It can also help them feel more prepared and confident for their future education and careers.

Reporting
CDE will collect college credit data from the Colorado Department of Higher Education, National Student Clearinghouse, College Board, and International Baccalaureate. Districts will have an opportunity to verify the reported data.
