About School Health Services (Medicaid)

Colorado districts can claim for Medicaid covered services that are provided in schools. The Colorado Department of Education provides training for developing the local services plans required for participation in this program. This site provides guidance and resources.

Important Dates:

  • FY 2024-25 Reimbursement Spending Report is closed. The FY 25-26 report will open October 1, 2026. View details below in the Reimbursement Spending Report section
  • Local Services Plan for Cohort Renewing (2021-26) or new programs:
    • Initial review draft due:  Wednesday, April 1, 2026
    • Final submission due: Friday, May 1, 2026
