Supporting Student Success: Academic Guidance for Parents, Families, Caretakers, and Communities

NEW from SIS: These "Supporting Student Success" guides are designed to help parents, families, caretakers, and community members support children's academic success beyond the school day. Because supporting learning is a shared effort, the guides describe activities you can engage in with students that complement what they are learning in school, and provide suggestions for working with schools and teachers. The guides are organized into four grade bands, and content areas are grouped to strengthen connections across areas. The guides were developed by the academic content specialists in CDE's Office of Standards and Instructional Support with input from CDE's Office of Family, Community, and School Partnerships, CDE's Office of Migrant Education Program, and other family and student advocacy groups.
Spanish and English language PDFs of the success guides are coming soon.
