The Office of Standards and Instructional Support (SIS) welcomes opportunities to support districts and schools, whether it be with staff professional development (PD), site visits, consultations, or other technical assistance. Our experienced team of content specialists works collaboratively with districts and schools to design customized learning experiences that align with Colorado Academic Standards and evidence-based instructional practices. We are committed to supporting educators in creating engaging, rigorous learning environments where all students can thrive.
These services are no charge, but we are limited by the capacity of our staff and budget.

Partial Day, Single Day, or Multi-Day SIS-Led Multi-Disciplinary Support
The SIS specialists can come to you as a team over one or multiple days, providing comprehensive support that allows for deep engagement with your specific needs and goals. Our team approach enables us to offer simultaneous breakout sessions across content areas, facilitate cross-disciplinary discussions, and work directly with different departments or grade levels within your school or district. During these extended visits, we can help collaborate with your teachers and/or district leaders to develop practical solutions for their classroom challenges, provide standards support, analyze assessment data, review curriculum alignment.
Single-Day, Integrated Multi-Disciplinary Support
Are you looking for presenters to add to a PD event you are organizing? Our SIS specialists can deliver focused sessions within your existing professional development structure, whether it is a school-based workshop, district-wide training day, or regional conference. We will collaborate with your planning team to ensure our contribution aligns with your event's goals and complements other presentations, providing valuable content expertise while fitting seamlessly into your agenda.
Content-Specific PD Support
Are you looking for someone to deliver staff PD for a single content area? Our content specialists can provide targeted professional development sessions focused on your specific disciplines. We will work with you to design sessions that address your particular needs while incorporating standards-aligned instructional strategies and best practices.
On-Site Observations and Consultations
Do you want a second set of eyes for classroom visits? Or face-to-face advice on instruction? Our specialists can observe classes and provide constructive feedback, review curriculum materials, and offer practical recommendations to enhance instruction. We can help identify areas of strength and opportunities for growth while collaborating with your team to develop actionable improvement strategies.
Virtual Support Options
Advising on Standards, Curriculum, Instruction and PD
We are only a call or an email away! Our team provides virtual consultations to answer your questions about standards implementation, curriculum alignment, instructional strategies and professional development planning. We can schedule video conferences, phone calls or respond via email to provide the guidance you need, when you need it.
